Penstemon Blackbird

This tall willowy plant will reach about 4ft (120cm) and will need support, especially if it is in an exposed position.   The long deep red to purple flowers have red streaks in the narrow throat.

Cut off seed heads as they finish flowering and cut back the plant to about one third of its height in spring.

Flowering Season:  Late June to late Autumn.
