In 1994 my family and I spent a holiday in Praia da Luz, about 3km West of Lagos, in the Western Algarve. This was the first time we had been to Portugal, let alone the Western Algarve.  We liked it so much that we have been back almost every year since.  I felt that I would like to share this wonderful place with anyone who has never been there and therefore have added a few pages to my website to try and give a 'feel' for the area.

The idea of looking around the Western Algarve, using the Internet, has been accomplished in a much better way by Wendy Nazar at Vale Grifo, based in Almadena not far from Praia da Luz,  therefore I will only give a brief description of the area in these pages.  Please visit this wonderful site if you are intending to take a holiday in the Western Algarve, it really is worth it!!  (Thanks Wendy).

Another site that is well worth visiting is the International Bar site.  They have a WebCam and show views of the beach and people who visit on an hourly basis.  Click on the button above to visit.  They also provide a lot of information for visitors which is really helpful.  (Thanks Andy and Caroline).
